l Central Brevard Humane Society to Participate in Summer Kidsfest at Cinemaworld - 4345 W. New Haven Avenue, Melbourne, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The Central Brevard Humane Society will be partnering with Cinemaworld in Melbourne for their Summer Kidsfest. Children will be able to meet one of the Humane Society’s adoptable animals, ask questions and pick up educational material on pet ownership.
Thursday, July 29
l Beach Pet Parade at Glenbrooke at Palm Bay - 815 Briar Creek Blvd., NE, Palm Bay, beginning at 10 a.m.
Please join us on Thursday, July 29th, at Glenbrooke's Clubhouse for the Beach Pet Parade. Bring a pet to the "pet parade" dressed in beach attire or just come to cast your ballot. A prize will be awarded for the "Best Beach Baby". Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Central Brevard Humane Society. l Benefit Concert Featuring Tommy Talton at Bluesboro Studio - 106 Florida Avenue, S., Rockledge, Doors open at 7 p.m.
The evening on July 29th at 7:00pm will featuring Tommy Talton. Dog and cat food, cat litter, bleach, copy paper and other related items will be accepted. Please come by and show your support for the Central Brevard Humane Society and enjoy a great show!!
Tommy Talton is best known for his work with Capricorn Records group Cowboy, which he founded with Scott Boyer. Talton toured with Gregg Allman and Cowboy throughout the United States in the 70s. He was a studio musician for some time, recording with artists such as Randall Bramlett, Martin Mull, Corky Lang (West, Bruce and Lang, Mountain), Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Clarence Carter, country legend Kitty Wells, Alex and Livingston Taylor, Arthur Conley of Sweet Soul Music fame, and more. Talton's highly anticipated studio CD, Tommy Talton in Europe, Someone Else's Shoes, was released on Hittin' the Note Records on May 12, 2008. l “Paws of Hope” at CBHS’s Molly Mutt I Thrift Shop – 2525 N. Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will showcase some of the Central Brevard Humane Society’s (CBHS) shelter dogs & cats, and will provide the public with fun educational information about responsible pet ownership.
While there “paw” your way through money saving deals at the thrift shop and stay and have lunch at the Red Wagon BBQ, located in the parking lot of Molly Mutt I. All proceeds will go to help provide care to the homeless animals in Brevard County.
l CBHS Shelter Volunteer Orientation (must be 16 years of age or older to participate in the orientation program), from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Central Brevard Humane Society - 1020 Cox Road, Cocoa
The Central Brevard Humane Society (CBHS) is in need of dedicated individuals or groups who care about the welfare of animals. Volunteering opportunities are available at the shelter, their (4) Molly Mutt Thrift Shops located in historic downtown Melbourne, Merritt Island, Palm Bay and Rockledge, the “low cost” spay/neuter & wellness clinic or as a “Society Ambassador” during community outreach (off-site) events.
Volunteer activities may include walking dogs, socializing cats, grooming animals, shelter beautification projects; as well as retail help at the thrift shops and assisting with community education and adoption events. The Humane Society is always looking for volunteers with grant writing, fundraising, clerical and animal handling/obedience training experience.
Pre-registration is required. All volunteer applications must be completed prior to the start of the CBHS Volunteer Orientation Program. During orientation, please wear long pants (no shorts) and closed toed shoes (no flip flops).

l CBHS’s Adoptable Pets Event at the Sunflower House (located in Merritt Square Mall) – 777 E. Merritt Island Causeway, Merritt Island, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The event showcases some of the Central Brevard Humane Society’s (CBHS) shelter dogs & cats, and will provide the public with fun educational information about responsible pet ownership. There will also be CBHS merchandise there for purchase. All proceeds will go to help provide care to the homeless animals in Brevard County.
Friday, August 20
l Bark in the Park at Space Coast Stadium – 5800 Stadium Parkway in Viera, gates open at 6 p.m.
The Central Brevard Humane Society in conjunction with Space Coast Stadium will be hosting Bark in the Park on Friday, August 20th, at Space Coast Stadium located at 5800 Stadium Parkway in Viera, gates open at 6 p.m.
Come enjoy an evening at the ballpark with your dog! Watch the Brevard County Manatees take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers while visiting pet vendors, participating in fun raffles and much, much more. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and watch the action from the grass berms around the outfield fence. Cost to attend the game is $5.00 per person and $2.00 per dog. All animals must be on a leash and have proof of current shots along with a county tag.

The event will showcase some of the Central Brevard Humane Society’s (CBHS) shelter dogs, and will provide the public with fun educational information about responsible pet ownership. There will also be CBHS merchandise there for purchase. All proceeds will go to help provide care to the homeless animals in Brevard County.
l “National Homeless Animals” Adopt-a-thon at the Central Brevard Humane Society - 1020 Cox Road, Cocoa, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Central Brevard Humane Society will be hosting “National Homeless Animals” Adopt-a-thon, in conjunction with Aloha Pet & Bird Hospital, the North & South Animal Care Centers and S.P.C.A. of North Brevard on Saturday, August 21st and Sunday, August 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (both days) at the Humane Society, located at 1020 Cox Road in Cocoa. The event will include special pricing on all types of adoptable pets, and FREE microchipping for each pet adopted during the 2-day event.

l CBHS’s Adoptable Pets Event at the Central Brevard Humane Society’s Molly Mutt II Thrift Shop - 728 E. New Haven Avenue, Historic Downtown Melbourne, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
There will be a few cats there for adoption.

l “National Homeless Animals” Adopt-a-thon at the Central Brevard Humane Society - 1020 Cox Road, Cocoa, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
